Introduction (2004-10-06) |
In order to use programs that require arguments to be specified at the command line, a command shell must be used.
Depending on the version of windows being used, different instructions must be used.

Windows 95/98 |
To get a command shell on Windows 95 and 98, select "Run" from the Start Menu.
The following dialogue should be displayed:
Figure 1 - Run Dialogue for Windows 95/98 In this dialogue, type "command.com", and press "OK". A command prompt should then be displayed. |
Windows NT/2000/XP |
To get a command shell on Windows NT, 2000 and XP, select "Run" from the Start Menu.
The following dialogue should be displayed:
